Who’s behind the camera?

My name is Julie, I’m a passionate professional photographer based in Brussels since 2022.

What I love most about my job is being able to share my passion with all of you. It’s a privilege to photograph such beautiful people and capture their happiest moments. It’s such a joy to see your faces light up when you see the results of our shoot! My greatest achievements are each and every one of these beautiful photos I take.

I’m quite an introvert, but I know how to channel my energy to guide you, and my natural warmth quickly puts you at ease. I love cats, tea, reading, the countless hobbies that have kept me going since I was a child, and exploring other cities and countries.

My background

In 2016, I was introduced to photography whilst studying communication at IHECS. This medium quickly became a way for me to express myself without having to put what I see into words. A photograph can convey so many emotions, reflections and questions. It allows me to capture what I was already unconsciously spending time observing.

Between 2016 and 2022, I practised, sometimes a great deal, sometimes letting photography slip a little (too much) to the back burner. During my Erasmus year in Prague in 2018, I was lucky enough to take a ‘Creative Photography’ course at the AAU, which pushed me to my limits and cemented my love for photography.

In 2022, the time had come: I decided to make it my profession and set myself the challenge of making a living from photography as a professional photographer in Brussels. Since then, I’ve worked with many private and professional clients seeking images that capture their essence and reflect who they are. Fancy seeing my past work? Who knows, perhaps the next wonderful project will be with you?

Why Entropy?

When I pick up my camera and head out onto the street, my view of the world changes. I like to think that I capture moments in a chaotic world that is constantly changing, unpredictable and subject to entropy (hence my name). My camera encourages me to take the time to observe the world around me, to notice its disorganisation and evolving disorder, and to make its beauty visible.
